Between 2018 and 2019, TDI was tasked to provide two teams to deliver Weapon and Ammunition Management (WAM) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Training to Armed Forces in the Central African Republic. Following the training sessions, the training teams were also required to conduct follow on mentoring and advice to the respective trainees.
The TDI teams delivered WAM and EOD training to the FACA (Central African Armed Forces) and the Gendermerie. In addition to this training, TDI also delivered Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Threat Awareness Training to other stakeholders during the course of this project.
Training sessions were conducted in a classroom setting, which proved to be challenging. More practical sessions were introduced to ensure that the students grasped the contents of each course
TDI delivered nine different training courses during the tenue of this contract, including Weapon Storekeeper, Weapon Cutting, Ammunition Storekeeper, Ammunition Store Manager, EOD Level 1, EOD Level 2, EOD Level 3, EOD Level 1 and 2 refresher courses and explosive ordnance risk education training.
